The Science & Humanities department is the basic of all the courses. It aims at developing the basic fundamentals
of the students in their first year of admission to the Institute to enrich them with adequate knowledge and skills
so as to enable them to adapt to the respective course of study in their second year. It is spread over different
subjects which are common to all the courses. Students admitted in different branches have to study the
common subjects in their first year which is divided into two semesters. Thus, it is the initial stage of the Technical Diploma
Engineering Course and forms an important part of the courses.
