Women’s Polytechnic has been a pioneer institute in Tripura to impart technical skill based education solely to aspiring young women of the state through the five different Diploma Engineering Programmes. These programmes are highly suitable for the employability as well as empowerment of the women in the service of the nation as well as industry sectors. The students are supported with several state and central government scholarship schemes through National Scholarship Portal. A full-fledged Training and Placement Cell proactively looks after the training and placement issues of the students, keeps records and constantly communicates with the Alumni. So many of the pass-out students are presently employed in the government and private organisations of the state. Every year, a large number usually go for higher education in different institutes of the country. There are multiple instances where the pass-out students from this institute have become successful entrepreneurs. This institute is privileged with constant support of a bunch of highly qualified and efficient faculty members and supporting staff who toil incessantly for the glory of the institute. As a result, in the year 2019, Women’s Polytechnic is awarded with the BEST POLYTECHNIC in the state by the Department of Education, Government of Tripura. The overall achievements and activities of the institute are published quarterly in the form of NEWSLETTERS that makes me believe and visualize that someday, in future, this institute will become a milestone in imparting technical skill and knowledge to women students in the entire North-Eastern part of India.
